becoming a community partner

what is expected of my team?

to continue “business as usual.” individuals come to you as autonomous patrons seeking the specific experience you offer. they follow your house rules and safety protocols just like anyone else. the clinical follow-up and emotional processing happen either through us or their established care provider(s), off-site. your role is simply to provide the space for them to show up as they are.

how do we handle safety & responsibility?

we operate with a clear "liability firewall" that respects the boundaries of both our practices. because these are independent, self-guided sessions, individuals sign your standard waivers and follow your safety guidelines. your insurance covers your venue, professional insurance through our primary clinical partner, blkjade. mental wellness, llc., covers the clinical aspect. if a community member is referred by their own mental health provider, the member’s therapeutic engagement pre and post session is covered by the referring provider’s liability insurance. referring providers ensure the person is ready for the experience, while you ensure the environment is safe.

ADDITIONAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

how is this initiative funded & managed?

1

this work is fueled by community-based grants and partnerships with organizations that prioritize health equity, violence prevention, and mental health liberation. we have partnered with se uplift, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, for fiscal sponsorship. this is a transparent and common way for grassroots programs to access the funding needed to do this work. once a grant is won or donations are received, the fiscal sponsor holds the funds in a restricted account and issues payments as the srcci purchases somatic sponsorships from our partners. this creates a built-in system of "checks and balances," ensuring that every dollar is used with integrity to support the collective healing of our community.

how does the sponsorship model center dignity?

2

Financial barriers are often a secondary trauma. By securing community grants and donations, we purchase bulk sessions from you upfront. we then offer these to folks as Somatic liberation Sponsorships. We use a discreet voucher system so that when a person walks through your door, there is no "patient" label and no exchange of money at the counter. They are there as a valued guest of your business, with their dignity fully intact.

is this a binding legal commitment?

3

Not yet. Right now, the srcci is gathering a circle of partners who believe in this mission. To secure the funding needed to pay your rates, we need to show grantors that our community infrastructure is ready. We sign a Letter of Intent (LOI)—a "good faith" agreement that says if the funding is awarded, you are open to being part of this somatic network. It’s a shared promise to the community, not a restrictive contract.

what are my responsibilities once the grant is funded?

4

when does the partnership become “official”?

5

The commitment only becomes legally binding after the grant funding is secured and we move into the Service Agreement phase. Once the money is in the bank, we will sit down to sign a formal agreement that outlines exactly how many sessions or memberships we are purchasing and how the voucher redemption process will work for your team.

Once we move into a formal Service Agreement:

  • Your Responsibility: To provide a safe, welcoming environment and honor the pre-paid vouchers for my patrons.

  • our Responsibility: To manage the clinical referrals, handle the administrative side of the vouchers, and ensure you are paid the agreed-upon rate.

  • The Clinical Boundary: I remain responsible for the clinical appropriateness of the referral; you remain responsible for the physical safety of your space.
